How to export Fitbit data with Google Takeout

Since Fitbit accounts moved to Google, the old fitbit.com export is gone and Google Takeout is the way to get your data. Done carelessly, Takeout exports your entire Google account; done right, it is a few clicks.

Step by step

Open takeout.google.com

Use the Google account linked to your Fitbit.

Deselect all

The button sits at the top of the product list.

Tick Fitbit

Optionally click “All Fitbit data included” to narrow it down, but the full set is fine.

Next step → Export once, .zip, 50 GB

A large size limit means one zip. Click Create export.

Download from the email

Google emails when it is ready. Links expire after a week.

Open it

Drop the zip on the Fitbit data export to Excel tool to get daily, sleep, exercise and weight sheets.
